PFIS offers courses for this rating during the winter months when the clocks go back 1 hour to GMT.
The course of training for the Night Instructor rating comprises:-
1 dual training flight at night and a minimum of 2 hours theoretical training with an FIC instructor.
Before being permitted to begin an approved course of training for a Night Instructor rating, an applicant must:-
Hold either a Night Qualification or Night Rating (Aeroplanes) and be in current flying practice.
There is no assessment of competence required for this rating. An end of course completion certificate will be presented, and a recommendation is made by the FIC instructor for removal of the No Night Restriction.
