PFIS offers courses for this rating during the winter months when the clocks go back 1 hour to GMT.
The course of training for the Night Instructor rating comprises:-
1 hour of flight training at night and a minimum of 2 hours theoretical training with an FIC instructor.
Before being permitted to begin an approved course of training for a Night Instructor rating, an applicant must:-
Hold either a Night Qualification or Night Rating (Aeroplanes) and be in current flying practice.
There is no skill test for this rating. An end of course completion certificate will be presented, and a recommendation is made by the FIC instructor for removal of the No Night Restriction.
