Based at Shoreham airport in modern, well equipped offices, Pooleys Flying Instructor School (PFIS) is a centre of excellence dedicated to the sole purpose of providing top quality training for flying instructors.

A major component of all flying instructor courses is ground school and Pooleys are proud to offer one of the UK’s finest training environments with computers, multi-media projectors and a large array of training aides and documentation.

Pooleys Flying Instructor School provide Instructor training for FI (restricted), Night Instructor, IMC Instructor, Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI), Aerobatic Instructor, Multi-engine Instructor and FIC preparation.

Pooleys Flying Instructor School offer a wide range of aircraft for instructor training including Cessna 152, Piper Cadet, Beagle Bulldog (aerobatics and spinning), Diamond DA40 (Garmin 1000 & conventional) and Diamond DA42.

Enhancing the wide range of aircraft for instructor training are two state of the art flight simulators with full 180 degree graphics. For multi-engine training there is a DA42 FNPTII, and a PA28 simulator for single-engine training.

Pre-flight briefings are an essential element of flying instructor training and Pooleys Flying Instructor School offer a comprehensive set of briefing templates to assist the student instructor.
